WIMBLEDON bounced back after their 4-0 defeat by landlords Crystal Palace last week with their best home result since the opening day.

Gillingham's cause was not helped when defender Roland Edge was sent off just before the hour mark.

Kevin Cooper grabbed a brace, taking his tally to four for the season, but youngster Joel McAnuff made an outstanding contribution in midfield for the Dons.

It was from a free-kick that the ball found its way to Michael Hughes to score the Dons' third.

Guy Butters pulled one back for the Gills.
