ex-Barking Town and Irish amateur international goalkeeper who joined the club in January 1928 but was unable to break into the first team, although shortly after signing he was selected for the full Irish international side.

He had attracted the attention of the Irish selectors during Barking's run to the Amateur Cup final, which they lost 2-1 to Leyton in 1926/27, and played against England in a 1-1 draw at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool, in November 1927. After joining Wimbledon in January he was selected for the full Irish international side for their 0-4 defeat against France in Paris in February 1928.
