Outside-left England amateur international, previously with Brentwood, Millwall and Hendon. Joined Cambridge City in 1969.

Hyde gained an Amateur Cup winners medal, capping a 60 goal season by scoring twice as Hendon beat Whitby Town 3-1 in the 1964/65 season, and returned to Wembley the following year when Hendon lost by the same score to Wealdstone.
