Played a small number of games for the club in both of the seasons spent with Wimbledon, the first the Isthmian League title winning team of 1931/32 and the second the disastrous following season when the club had to apply for re-election for the only time.

After leaving the Dons he went to Sutton United and became a popular figure there, so much so that when he joined Epsom in February 1938 some of the Sutton supporters briefly came with him. He played for Epsom until the outbreak of World War II and returned to them, but only for a solitary game in 1947/48.
