Joe Wallis
(1954/55 - 1967/68)
One of Wimbledon's true characters, Joe joined the club in 1951, linking up with brothers Harry and Jack. Starting as an inside-forward he moved to centre-forward when international Jeff Darey moved to Hendon. He was approached by professional clubs on several occasions after representing the Isthmian League and London F.A. XI's and taking part in the 1956 Olympic trials.

Joe left the club with his brothers in the summer of 1957 after a dispute regarding the club paying players. He joined Bromley, but two seasons later was back at Wimbledon and stayed until he was released at the end of the 1967/68 season.
