C J Bradford
(1941/42)
When Wimbledon played Bishop Auckland in the Amateur Cup Final of 1934/35 a freezing schoolboy stowaway revealed himself after clinging to the top of the coach to Middlesbrough for the best part of the journey. He was taken to the ground and his admission paid for. Several years later, after discharge from the army on medical grounds, he asked for a trial, and played in the second, final game of the aborted 1941/42 season, scoring the goal in a 1-10 defeat at the hands of the Welsh Guards at Sandown Park.
