Two goals by Jason Euell helped ten-man Wimbledon to continue their remarkable form away from home with a 4-0 demolition of Tranmere Rovers.
Indeed, the dismissal of Rob Gier just after the interval seemed to affect the home side more as the Dons overran Rovers with a superb display.
Terry Burton's men arrived at Prenton Park with seven victories on their travels already this season and once Trond Andersen had unleashed an unstoppable opener just before half-time, win number eight never looked in doubt.
After a slow start to First Division life, the Dons are rising quickly up the table and now have the play-offs very much in their sights.
Rovers had not lost on home soil in the league since 6 October, but on a bitterly cold Merseyside afternoon they turned in a performance that will have disappointed boss John Aldridge.
Unstoppable
The match, however, had to wait until the 27th minute before either goal was seriously troubled.
Teenage goalkeeper Joe Murphy, recalled to the starting line-up with Thomas Myhre back at Everton, was caught outside the left angle of his penalty area after confusion in the Rovers defence.
Norwegian Andersen recovered the loose ball and passed to Damien Francis but he dragged his 20-yard shot left of an exposed goal.
Two minutes later Irishman Murphy again to failed to fully clear and this time captain Neal Ardley was unable to keep his shot on target.
But with four minutes of the half remaining Wimbledon broke clear and Pat Agyemang pulled the ball back for Andersen to crack an unstoppable strike past Murphy.
Just after the resumption the visitors found themselves reduced to ten men with the dismissal of Gier.
Midfielder Gier, a 20-year-old product of the Dons' youth system, upended Paul Rideout and the referee immediately brandished a red card.
Fantastic
But the Dons responded in the best possible fashion and within two minutes had doubled their advantage.
Ardley's free-kick from the left found Mark Williams unmarked and the Northern Ireland international powered his header past Murphy.
On the hour mark Rovers could well have pulled a goal back as Reuben Hazell's cross found Wayne Allison, whose downward header struck the post with Andy Parkinson unable to follow up the rebound.
Wimbledon, however, continued to use the counter-attack to great effect and in the 78th minute Euell notched their third with a neat lob.
The 23-year-old striker had saved his best until last, though, in a fantastic Dons performance.
With five minutes remaining Francis split a lethargic Rovers defence and Euell lifted an exquisite chip over Murphy from all of 25 yards.
