AFC Wimbledon cruised through to the 4th round of the Westview Cup with a relatively comfortable 3-2 win against Burgess Hill.

Dave Anderson rested the majority of his first choice XI, with starts given to fringe players such as Wayne Finnie, Simon Sobihy and Paul Smith. Youngsters Casey McLaren and Robin Shroot lined up alongside them from the start while Lee Kersey, Byron Bubb and Simon Sweeney continued their comebacks from injury. Completing the line-up were Richard Butler and Darren Grieves up front, with Scott Curley anchoring the midfield.

But it looked as though the gamble may backfire when the home side took the lead with only six minutes on the clock, slicing open the Dons edgy regard and beating Smith with the first attack of the game.

However the lead was to be shortlived, with target man Grieves settling the nerves of the Dons' travelling faithful - glancing home a Casey McLaren flick on from close range just six minutes later.
