The Dons ladies picked up another 3 points on the road, with a strong performance away at Kent based Aylesford.

Manager Lyons made three changes from last week's winning team, with Linsey Clarke, Jess Trimnell and new signing Kelly Whelan, all starting.

On a pitch that was sticky and bobbly, the home team started with a flourish, and took an early lead through Captain Rebecca Barr. However, AFC's on form striker Caz Bisson, restored parity within a couple of minutes, and set the scene for the remainder of the game.

The Dons showed plenty of attacking threat, and with a change in formation, ran the home defence ragged. Bisson linked up well with strike partner Whelan, and the hard working Dons midfield. Bisson headed home Becky Sargent's fine cross for AFC's second goal, then returned the favour for Sargent to head home and put the Dons 3-1 up at half time.

Second half started much in the same way, with the Dons taking the game to the home side. Sargent scored ten minutes into the half, for her fifth goal of the season, and midway through the half, Bisson completed her fifth hat-trick of the season.

Whelan capped off a hard working performance with a goal ten minutes from time, showing she will be a great asset to the Dons strong squad. However it wasn't just about scoring, as the Dons Ladies played well despite the troublesome conditions. Although the pitch was sticky and difficult, the Dons put together some good passages of play. Lauren Carnell also made her debut, slotting in well to give manager Lyons another defensive option.

Next week sees a reversal of the fixture, with the Dons hosting Aylesford for a 1.30 KO.
