Wimbledon Ladies winning streak came to an abrupt stop on their visit to West London.

Old Actonians started 'on fire' and they opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, when Dons Defender Jodie Weller brought down Old Actonians winger Natasha Cree, just inside the penalty area, Old Actonians captain Carla Williams converting the resultant spot kick.

This immediately placed the Dons under pressure and Old Actonians were relentless as they continued to press and dominate possession.

Referee Leonid Raihman was reluctant to come out of the centre circle, relying on the Assistants for any decisions at ends of the field and this meant several heavy challenges went unpunished.

The Dons were able to hold their formation and did not concede further before the break.

Both squads remained unchanged at the start of the second period, and Wimbledon looked like a totally different team.

It was now Wimbledon dominating, but after 57 minutes Wimbledon's best chance of the match struck the crossbar, bounced in front of goal, was immediately cleared, and Natasha Cree struck the ball into the net from the breakaway.

Dons Manager Chris Lyons then made a double swap bringing on Bianca Walker and Kate Martin for Georgia Heasman and Clare Hedley-Smith.

Old Actonians were by now relentless and given the breakaway goal after surviving the Dons pressure started to take the initiative again.

The 3rd goal came after a defensive mistake where Liane Tylee failed to clear lines and was punished as Old Actonians number 9, Sharon Odofin, bundled the ball over the line after 62 minutes.

Actonians were now in command and brought personnel on-field to replace their tiring midfield.

Caz Bisson appeared to have been blatently pulled down in the penalty area, but Referee Raihman just waved her onto her feet.

Dons Midfielder, Rebecca Sargent was then bundled over, again nothing was given and after a short period of treatment had to go off, replaced by Heasman. After the delay Wimbledon were able to take the Free Kick, but it sailed into the arms of Actonians Keeper Naomi Swift.

Dons Keeper Tylee then went down after yet another strong challenge with an Actonians player, both stayed down and required treatment, fortunately both were able to continue.

In a final spin of the dice, Rebecca Sargent, recovered from injury, returned to the field and was instrumental in Dons pushing forward again, but Bisson fired wide of the target.

The play then remained static in the middle of the field and Old Actonians celebrated at the final whistle.
