Played for Mitcham United and represented the Wimbledon & District League against Magdalen at Plough Lane on Good Friday 1913. Signed for Tooting at the start of the following season, but transferred to Wimbledon in October, playing that season in the reserves. Made the jump to the first team at the end of the 1914/15 war season, scoring several goals.

After the War became Hon. Secretary of the successful reserve team.
