Harry Dann
(1899/100 - 1907/08)
Brother of Thomas Dann, Harry joined the club in 1897, having previously played for St. Mark's College, and quickly worked his way from the third team to the first eleven. He was elected vice-captain at the start of the 1904/05 season, the club's first at senior status, often standing in as captain when Arthur Reynolds was unavailable.

Son of Robert Dan who was coachman to Joseph Bazalgette, the family living in the engineer's stables at 4 Arthur Road in 1881, Henry just 6 months old. The family were still there twenty years later along with another Don, younger brother Thomas Ernest Dann. Despite living in stables, in 1911 they also had a lodger! By 1911 the parents and Henry had moved to Pepys Road and Henry had taken up a position as Assistant Teacher, working for the Borough.
