Known as Rufus, a full-back who joined Old Centrals in 1902 having played previously for St. Mark's College. Known as Rufus, he was a regular in the side, part of the transformation from junior to senior club and the change from Old Centrals to Wimbledon, winning a South London Charity Cup winner's medal in 1904/05 and playing for the Southern Suburban League representative XI. Started the 1905/06 season with West Norwood but had returned to Wimbledon by the start of November. Moved to the Himalayas in India with his brother, reserve team goalkeeper Harold, in early in 1906. Their popularity at the club was marked with a smoking concert to commemorate their departure.
