Bobby West
(1956/57 - 1958/59)
Bobby joined the Dons straight from school having represented West London schools - as a goalkeeper! During his national service, with the Royal Ulster Rifles, he played alongside Manchester United's Rudd in the team that reached the Army Cup quarter-final. An inside-forward, he worked his way up from the B (youth) team to the first XI, and was the Dons regular inside-right for a while before the arrival of Geoff Hamm. After a season of limited opportunities, mostly as travelling reserve, he moved on to Dulwich Hamlet. Brief spells followed at Kingstonian, where he gained honours with Surrey, and Maidstone, before he joined Hayes in 1961. He stayed for at Hayes four years and played for Middlesex. Left for Hampton in February 1965 before moving on to Chesham United in the summer and Leatherhead the following season.

Outside of football he was a builder and decorator.
