Ernest Puleston

Surrey junior county goalkeeper. Played for Woodside in the Wimbledon & District League in 1905/06 and 06/07, the second of those seasons alongside Wimbledon member Johnny Canham. In 1907/08 he was playing for 2nd Volunteer Battalion, East Surrey Regiment. Joined the Dons during the 1908/09 season, playing mostly in the reserves, but after a spell at Old Kingstonians when the club was mothballed he became a regular between the sticks for the first team when the club reformed in 1912/13.

Fought in the Great War in the East Surrey, Notts & Derby (Sherwood Foresters) and Lincolnshire Regiments, reaching the rank of Sergeant.
