A schoolteacher who joined the Dons from Yorkshire Amateurs after relocating south for work. Had previously assisted York City and Wombwell. He left after spending the 1937/38 season on a world tour with Islington Corinthians and joined Merton. Played for Nunhead against the Dons in December 1939.
