Presented with enough chances to be comfortably ahead after the first quarter at Newbury Park, the Dons bowed out of the London Senior Cup at the semi final stage as Hendon won the game in extra time. Having fallen behind just before the interval, Gauntlett equalised with fourteen minutes left only for their old nemesis Bob Avis to win the game during the added half hour. The north London Greens, beaten in the Amateur Cup semi final by Oxbridge team Pegasus, had taken away the Dons last chance of silverware.
